Biography

Matthew Bleasdale was born 1984 in North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Soon after he moved to the sprawling suburbia of beautiful South Surrey, where he still resides today. He fell in love with art from an early age, drawing and painting for as long as he can remember. In 2008 he graduated from Trinity Western University with a BA in visual art and design.

Artists that inspire him include Todd McFarlane, J. Scott Campbell, Emily Carr, Claude Monet, Clifford Still, Robert Motherwell, Gerhard Richter & Roy Lichtenstein.

Matthew works in a variety of mediums including, acrylic, pencil, graphite, conté, digital illustration and photography. His favourite subjects are abstract, nature and city scenes. In addition to fine art, Matthew also offers professional graphic design, logo design, character design and illustration services.

In his spare time he enjoys listening to music, playing and watching hockey, reading, watching TV and movies, hanging out with friends and his two dogs.
